The Prezence "Blows the Back Wall" at the Towne Crier Cafe

Updated: Oct 14, 2021

Beacon, NY, March 13, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Saturday night, Hudson Valley-based Led Zeppelin tribute band “The Prezence”, in just their 2nd-ever Show at the well known Towne Crier Cafe in Beacon, NY, packed the venue such that “the back wall” needed to be opened. The “opening of the back wall” is something acts aspire to as an indication of their popularity and drawing ability, but not all bands achieve. Local Professional Videographer David Beesmer (perhaps better known as “Front Row” Dave for having sat “front and center” at the famous 2007 Led Zeppelin reunion concert at the O2 Arena in London) posted “I have been to the [Towne Crier] about thirty times and have never personally seen such a huge turnout...”

On the reaching of this milestone, “The Prezence” Bassist/Keyboardist Ted Chmura III commented, “being from Western Massachusetts and not being familiar with the Towne Crier, it was intrigui

ng hearing all the references to ‘the back wall’ - like - what’s the big deal? But when I heard ‘they’re opening it up’, and realized what this meant it was truly exciting.” Chmura further explains, “Phil (Ciganer, Owner of The Towne Crier Cafe) took somewhat of a chance on us a few months back by having us in on a Sunday night. Perhaps 50 people

showed up. Evidently, they liked what they saw and heard because they came back in force with their friends!” About “The Prezence”: The Prezence is a Hudson Valley based tribute band dedicated to authentically portraying the live sound of Led Zeppelin. With Chris O'Loughlin on vocals, Frank Perri on guitar, Ted Chmura III on bass and keyboards, and Salvatore Michael DeMeo on drums, the band has played many venues over the years, including some fundraisers benefiting children with autism and Special Olympics.
